I just got a new phone and I'm curious how much people are paying for service in monthly fees including taxes and surcharges. Values are in US dollars. If you're outside of the US, please convert your currency to US dollars at http://www.xe.com/ucc/

-- Posted by Spice at 12:50 am on Oct. 16, 2007
$60-$79 It's actually £35 [so $70] I get 500minutes, and 500texts, and I never use all of either.

Hmm... $39.99 before tax most months. Around $42 after, but on some months it is considerably higher because Verizon seems to have all sorts of issues with charging me for various things I never asked for, or no longer continuing my participation in other, money-saving things I DID ask for.

i pay $AU29 a month for mine. it includes installments for the phone, and my bill. i'm on a cap, so i only have to pay $AU29 and i get $AU120 worth of calls and text and stuff, but if i want to use the internet or buy songs or games from my provider i have to pay extra on top of the $AU29, and that includes if i use more than $AU120 of credit. but usually its $AU29

Seeing as currently the canadian dollar is roughly equivolent. I pay about $53 monthly assuming I don't go over. However that is including some benefits, like unlimited texting, and caller ID.

$60 - $79 With taxes, fees, text message charges I end up paying about $55 (I once paid $80), but I rounded up, since that was the month I told everyone to stop texting me, and now I'm not so crazy about it.

I am on a family plan with Nextel USA and we pay $138.49 for 3 phones and unlimited pics and text on all lines and 1400 minutes and unlimited walkie talkie service
-- Posted by Ju5tin at 5:59 pm on Oct. 16, 2007
Just under $20. I pay $10 for unlimited texting, $5 for unlimited internet access, and the rest for calls... And I really don't make a lot of calls... in fact, since I've gotten my cell, I've only made about 5 calls and I've had it since June... J5

How do some of you only pay $20? The basic AT&T plan is $40, and adding in $5 for 200 text messages and taxes/"maintenance fees", my bill comes to $60. And that's like the bare minimum.
