I have been thinking of buying a Holden Storm (Ute) for a lot of years...now that I'm close to having enough money to buy one, I really don't want one anymore. I really like the new Holden Cruze... http://www.holden.com.au/vehicles/Cruze They look awsome in red, but then I'm not sure if I'm a red-kind-of girl. Don't like them in blue... Anyway, what are people's thoughts on this car? I currently have a Holden Astra, and love having a small car. The Cruze is a bit bigger, but not as big as a Commodore or Ute.

You should actually get one in black, if they come in black.

I've never heard of that manufacturer before, but it looks pretty cool. Looks kinda like a mix of an Acura TSX and a Honda Accord.

And the car will be coming to USA pretty soon. It will be sold under the Chevy label, as a replacement to the Cobalt. As for the car, they look pretty good. I can't help much more than that. I know some versions use an Ecotec engine, which I have not heard much bad about.

I read a review about it, and they reckon is lacks power ... it's only a 4cylinder though so seriously how much would you expect. So does this mean they're not making the Astras anymore?

The petrol version has 140hp 1.8 which is around the normal level for the basic engines from a compact, but the Deisel version which has a bit more power(150hp) is extremely torquey, about the same as the Commodore V6 so its much faster. Yes its replacing the Astra here.

Yeh, I read the stats but some test-driver, not sure who said performace wise, not just on paper.
