Take out your lip ring. -- Posted by straykat at 9:26 am on July 5, 2009 Bongelo? (sp) salt water mouth rinses, or chlorhexadine (savacol is one brand name) from a chemist. Avoid alcohol mouth washes, such as listerine as they can cause long term problems. Maybe take out your lip ring if you can for a few days, or replace it with something that will rub on it less. Also, avoid food that is spicy or too hot as it could cause more tissue damage and take longer to heal.
