Hahaha I wrote WHY in the google search bar and there's a popular search called WHY DO MEN HAVE NIPPLES? LOL... Seriously, why they have it?

apparently while in the womb the embryo first starts developing as female, including with all the female hormones, then the male hormone comes in later... or summat like that

Default sex is female, the Y chromosome kicks in part way through foetal growth.

Obviously I don't know if this is right... but I remember a professor saying something along the lines of all fetuses are female at early stages of development, and change into male, so they retain nipples, but because they don't get the female hormones during puberty, they don't actually get boobs.

This. They'd look extremely weird without nipples any who.

All vertebrate embryos are inherently female anyway, they just require an extra hormone given at the right developmental stage to make them male. [In the case of the dinosaurs at Jurassic Park and the Jonas Brothers,] we simply deny them that.
