Alcohol brings out honesty in people. Marijuana: There are two different kinds of marijuana, and so two different kinds of high. A Sativa high is a head high, you might get a slight tingle in your forearm but otherwise you'll mostly feel this high in your head. It affects balance, gives you energy, and you can still 'function' and still have motivation to do things. An indica high is a body high and depending on if you smoke good weed or not it can either make you a couch potato or fill you with energy. Some people like to smoke this right before they go to bed. Then there's a hybrid high, most strains you buy aren't pure indica or pure sativa but instead hybrids, these are more common.
