Do you think it's wrong? I do because it's like an invasion of privacy kind of thing. I really wanted to be a doctor and do good things in life but today I found out they get random piss tests and I'm like fuck it I'd rather be a stoner and sell drugs and get in fights and rob people and steal stuff.

No because they don't want a bad image from you to the company

It's perfectly sensible.

I don't think it invades privacy. I think it's good, depending on the job.

For some jobs it is. In mine I work with machinery so Its understandable. But for the most part I see it as unnecessary. Just dont go to work fucked up. Thats just common sense.

It is an invasion of privacy. It should be assumed that you will do your work sober and not under the influence. You should only be tested if you are demonstrating signs of intoxication while on the job. What you do at home is no ones business in the work place.

I got tested for drugs when I worked at a nursing home. It makes sense to me. Who wants a druggie stealing pills from old ladies?

I'm pretty torn on this subject.  I mean, I smoke weed and I'm looking for a job and its a pain in the ass to find one that doesn't drug test, so that is a bad thing.  On the other hand I understand why businesses don't want drug users working for them, but at the same time what a worker does on their time is their business.  The problem shouldn't be the worker being a drug user, the problem should be workers on drugs while at work, that should be grounds for immediate dismissal, imo.
