You can be a better Christian by following its principles. Do good to others. Dont kill Dont steal Be selfless. ect Dont follow the bible as if its the only thing. Thats not what being a Christian is really about. It just means that you need to be a good person.

It's all about being tolerant and helpful, isn't it? Just do good things for everyone and yourself, volunteer or something, and go to church, especially if you've sinned.

Firstly, you should determine which denomination you wish you follow, i.e. Catholic, Protestant, Methodist, Baptist, etc. Secondly, you need to ally yourself with a church of that denomination. Thirdly, you need to follow EVERYTHING they command you to do, even if you don't agree with it or wish to follow it, because if you don't you're a sinner in the eyes of God and you WILL go to hell. Finally, if you ever have a change of opinion and decide to turn your beliefs in a different direction, be prepared to be hated by people who used to 'love' you and 'loved' by those who once hated you.

We are all sinners. The fundamentals are the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Build on those.

Don't be tempted as my boyfriend's grandmother would say, she has been a Christian her whole life.
