The computer doens't turn off, everythings still on, but the screen is dark. HOW CAN I FIX IT!? Check in control panel. Go into the settings for power options, and change the hibernation settings for battery/plugged in. -- Posted by anonomouse at 11:26 pm on July 1, 2009 Does the screen turn black or just dim? If it just dims, look for a setting in the Function (F1-F12) keys on the keyboard. There should be little cryptic icons there (or on other keys) that are the same color as the Fn key. Hold the Fn key then press one of those buttons (maybe a sun? to make the screen brighter?) a few times.
