here's my situation: system security 2009 downloaded itself and it's obviously not legit but i can't seem to remove it. i can't even run my computer in normal mode. oh and i don't have like 100 dollars buy spyware removal. i just used windows defender scanner and it says my computer is running normally and other scanners can't find it. i guess it's completely hidden somehow because it's preventing me from using programs in normal mode. help me.

you need to use and download malwarebytes and run a quick search

You're lucky. I had to wipe my girlfriend's machine yesterday cos she had it - it restricted the execution of files so I couldn't install/run antivirus, get to a command line or regedit. :/
