Do I have to go to a accredit college that teaches you it, or if you know basically everything you need to be A+ Cerrtified just go and take a test and past it? Please help. Not to sure on what to do. I have GED since 2004 and just want to advanced into getting a good computer techie job. And this isn't 1999-2000; just an A+ cert alone won't get you crap. Sorry kid. Everyone in and his brother has computer Certs. I do hiring currently and sometimes hire IT people. Associates degrees even don't cut it. You really need a Bachelor's degree to even START being competitive in the work environment and economy today. Who set you to have such low expectations when dealing with schooling? Also seriously, anything that seems like a 'shortcut' like going to an online only school, or your GED is gonna make you look a lot worse to an employer. I'd put a resume with an Associates from UPO in the trash. A kid with a degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science from say MIT or Northeastern would shine to me.
