I've never been around this shit before so what do I do? If you lay him down, make sure its on his stomach with his head to the side. Medical attention doesn't seem necessary at this point.. but if he starts puking without waking up or he passes out and you can't wake him up-- he needs to go to a hospital. After each time he pukes, give him food and water... Laying on side is best.  Front and back can both lead to choking. -- Posted by RubberTrees at 11:53 pm on Jan. 5, 2009 How long has he been puking?  If it continues and you're worried, take him to the hospital.  Other than that, just try to keep him from choking on his own throw up.  Try giving him water whenever you can.  Also, if he goes to sleep, keep him on his side in case he throws up in his sleep.
