""It's scary," Rory said, turning to look directly into his blue eyes and answer his question. "It's terrifying knowing that people die from anorexia, but not being able to stop it. It's awful." Logan's eyes displayed his concern, and encouraged her to continue. "People think that when you're anorexic, you're not hungry, but I am. I'm hungry all the time. Sometimes it seems like all I think about is food, and I can't get my stomach to stop growling. I feel weak and tired from not getting enough nutrition. But I can't eat. I know that doesn't make sense to you, and to be honest, it doesn't make sense to me either. I go to Yale for goodness sake. I know that you need to eat to live. But I still can't. Because when I look in the mirror, I don't see what you see. It's like I'm looking in one of those fun house mirrors at the carnival. When I look in the mirror, all I see is fat and curves and bulges that don't belong. I feel worthless because I'm so fat. I feel like no one wants to look at me or be around me because I'm so disgusting." She paused and took a deep breath, trying to keep her emotions in check. "I feel like if I could only lose 5 more pounds, everything in my life would be okay again. But when I do lose 5 pounds, nothing changes. It's still hell. So I eat less, and exercise more, hoping that some day I will be thin enough for everything to change." I would like to thank errynbeth for that quote (please don't hurt me!)
