-- Posted by bluerosedangel at 1:37 am on July 23, 2008

It's going to catch up to you and eventually drive you insane. It did for me at least.

-- Posted by uwastedmyheart at 1:37 am on July 23, 2008

Haha. Right. After 80 hours you automatically shut off.
So I don't believe you.

EDIT: Nevermind. Record says that a boy stayed awake for 11 days.

That's such crap. Where'd you get that?

I myself have gone over 120hours without sleep, so I disprove that one, by a lot.

To the OP, I get you. I don't like sleeping for that reason either.

As in alcohol free? It'd be impossible to do if I wasn't. Drug free? I had a little help from caffeine, but surprisingly little. After a while, the body just stops trying to sleep.

Umm... I wouldn't say any, or easy. I mean, I've done it, but I also worked 2 jobs and had a full schedule of classes. It KILLS you staying up so much, but when you have so much to do, it's inevitable that sleep goes off the priority list. But I guess I didn't, or don't now for that matter, sleep because of nightmares. I just am like, fueled on something that is keeping me awake.

-- Posted by Bearsy at 1:43 am on July 23, 2008

I gone like 65 hours without sleeping before.

I don't think you understand what it's like to be kept awake by your dreams. I have a huge sleep debt because of it.

What do you have nightmares about?

Horrors I can't even begin to describe, some of which don't stick just to the dream world. I'll wake up with injuries corresponding to the dream.

I've been told by a friend who's into the paranormal and has ESP that I'm haunted by a demon, or some nonsense.

Same.
And yeah I understand. I hate nightmares too, try to either overdose to the point where I pass out and don't dream or just don't sleep
