If a diet pill makes one of the following claims, it is most likely to be false, and you should be weary of that product.  There are many diet scams out there, and it is important to be an informed consumer.

1. The product will cause weight loss of two pounds per week or more without dieting or exercise.

2. The product will cause substantial wight loss no matter what or how much the consumer eats.

3. The product will cause permanent weight loss, even after the consumer stops using the product.

4. The product will block the absorption of fat or calories to enable consumers to lose substantial weight.

5. The product safely enables the consumer to lose more than three pounds per week for more than four weeks.

6. The product cuases substantial weight loss for all users.

7. The product will cause substantial weight loss by wearing it on the body or rubbing it into the skin.

I don't understand how somebody can take weight loss advice from an overweight man.

Agree. Similar to "business coaches" that claim to make you succesful and never run a business themselves

The money that is being made by weight loss scams is appalling considering what it takes to lose weight. To burn or use more calories than you take in. A little stroll around the block everyday wouldn't hurt.

It just is infuriating how many people get scammed all the time when it is not hard to figure out a weight loss strategy.

Quoted for truth.  If you want to lose weight, forget any kind of supplement, or miracle product, all you need to do is cut the unhealthy foods from your diet, and exercise.

I don't know on what mechanism these diet pills work in reducing weight.  Any thing instantaneous weight reduction  in short span of time is not good for health.  I always trust  regular exercises and controlled food habits that will give best results.

They really don't do much on their own without diet and exercise.

A lot are stims and will get you pumped and they do raise metabolism.
They also act as appetite suppressants which causes you to eat less.
They help if you have a long term goal and a lot of weight to lose.
Basically the key is determination. If you cheat a little don't get discouraged, just do your best to eat right(or the next best healthy alternative)
And go to your workouts, just go.

Diets are a joke. Healthy eating and exercise just that simple.

most of these are a load of rubbish imo

just join waitwatchers or summit if you are really have a prob or just cut back, eat more fruit and veg and exercise. why does dieting have to be such a complicated buisness?

the only safe way to lose weight is to excersise (cardio and strength train,) and control your calorie intake. It's that simple.
