He broke up with me saying, "I wasn't the right girl for him." But I think that was just an excuse. Because he was the first one to say I love you to me and he said I was the one for him. He started talking about teh future and college and then all of sudden he started acting all weird. He broke up with me. My heart was broken. He went out with his friend (lets call her Brooke). Brooke and Max went out for 3 months and 4 days. He broke up with her because Brooke was too busy to be in a relationship. I dated three guys after Max broke up with me. All three didn't work out. I was still in love with Max.   We have these Taste of whatever by my house for like 5 days with rides, food, and concerts. I hung out with Max for 3 days so far. Yesterday, July 4th, we meet up with our friends and we watched the fireworks on a blanket. Max moved closer to me and put his hand out....so I put my hand out too and we held hands. We didn't kiss or he didn't ask me to go back out with him though. But when his mom dropped me off last night, he texted me saying, "Thank you for being the nicest person to me. I have never had someone so nice to me." He invited me to the last day of the Taste today.   Does Max, my ex-boyfriend, that I still am in love with and only want to be, likes me again? Or just leading me on? P.S. While he were dating, he hated this American Eagle t-shirt and I loved it, so whenever I was with him he would wear that shirt sometimes. Last night he wore that shirt. :) That he hates and that I love. P.S.S. When we were holding hands, he was breathing heavly and was shaking a little bit. Max has always been nervous around me when we first started dating.

Replies ily13107 Posted at 10:30 am on July 5, 2009 Aw, that's so sweet. :) I, honestly, think he does like you.  He's done these little things to give you the hint.  When there's a bond between two people, one way or another, it always pulls them together. I think the reason behind breaking up with you was probably because he was loving you so much, that it would hurt if you or him had a serious problem one day.  So he probably tried to avoid that heartbreak.  Regardless, I think he's over that and wants something with you.  Your love. I know, from my own experience.  I had a girl that I started loving so much, too early.  I ended the relationship because I was afraid she would do me wrong one day.  Or me to her.  But soon enough, I was back with her.  And now look.  We've been together for 17 months. Mimic Posted at 10:09 am on July 5, 2009 I think the only way you would really know is to ask the man, all these little things could be things he's randomly done that he didn't expect you to pick up on and over-analyse. You really need to discuss it with him if you want to know what he wants, you ned to have open level of communication, if you can't communicate, there isn't too much point in even entertaining the idea of being together. They COULD be signs of him liking you, they could also be random things he has decided to do that have no bearing on how he feels about you, whatsoever.
