So this is kind of long but here goes nothing.

I have been really into my guy friend for a while. We've been friends for about 3 years, and I've had a thing for him off and on the whole time. I'll like him, then I'll decide I'm not good enough to be with him and move on. He's one of the most awesome guys I've ever met in my entire life, and I'm completely comfortable around him. I would love to be his girlfriend but I don't know if he'd ever see me as more than a friend. Sometimes I think maybe he could be interested because he'll be all touchy-feely and hug me a lot and put his arm around me and all that. But then again, he can be touchy-feely with other girls too, so I don't know what to think... But then last night I went out with him and some of our friends, and he was super touchy feely, putting his arm around me while we ate, putting his head on my shoulder when we were talking, saying that once I graduate this May, he wants to make sure we still see each other all the time and stuff.

So Guy 2 is a guy who transferred to my school last year. When I first met him, we did not get along at all. We disagreed on everything, we argued all the time, it was awful. But as the year went on, we found out we actually had a lot in common, and by the end of the year, I found myself being interested in him and thought the feeling might be mutual. Then school ended and I didn't see him for a while. Now we've been back for a semester, and those feelings have started to creep back in for me. We get along well now, although we still disagree quite a bit. He keeps me on my toes. I'm not sure he feels the same though. He usually has some smart ass thing to say to me, and we've been known to argue over stupid stuff. For example, we were at a basketball game at our school one night and we were arguing about something stupid, and all of a sudden he stops and says, "Fine...let's just go make out then." Caught me completely offguard and I didn't know what to say. And even though we disagree sometimes, for some reason, I still find myself looking for reasons to be around him. And lately, it seems like he might be doing the same...finding me in our school's dining room and coming to sit with me, coming over to talk about nothing in particular in the library...

So I guess my problem is this...I don't know who I should go for or if I should even make a move for either one. Both are great guys, and I'm really having a hard time figuring all this out. Any suggestions?

I really think that might be your best option, putting it out there might be a tough one, but if you want to go for the relationship that may last or whatever, then you need to evaluate where each one stands.

Hmmm, opposites are a tough one.

First of all, guy one, would you rather keep the friendship you have with him now or risk damaging it in some way with a relationship? It really depends on if you think you could eventually deal with everything breaking down. Because it's entirely a possiblity. There seems to be potential there for what you possibly want to happen. But then, you'd have to get his feelings clarified. And that could be a dodgy step.

Guy two is a whole other kettle of fish. I know this guy who I CONSTANTLY argue with about politics, important shit blah blah. But knowing we're so different not afraid to argue with each other was a plus for me. Though we didn't get together. At the end of the day, if it was to happen, it wouldn't be a bad thing if you knew you wanted/liked each other.

So should I try to find out how they both feel before making any decisions?
