I use to have eating problems (would skip meals) but now I eat properly. However, during my noneating phase, I stopped having my period. Does anyone know when it will come back again? Starting to get worried.....

Your diet may not contain enough iron or enough nutrients that are needed for having your period...try adding more iron into your diet if your period does not come back consult a doctor.

Hey, I have been diagnosed with anorexia. I have been battling with this for about 5 years now. After about a year of starving myself and using laxatives and stepping into bulimia. I am now 16 and can not have a regular period. I sometimes have one about every 3 or 4 months but by no means is it every month. I want to tell you NOW to please talk to your doctor, parent, or anyone! This is a horrible problem and sometimes can not be reversed! I'm very worried because I know that it will be very difficult for me to get pregnant when I am ready for that. Its really tough but you need to get back on the right track as soon as possible because you can damage you body PERMANENTLY! Please talk to someone and pm me if you need to.

It will most likely come back after several months of healthy eating habits. If it doesn't, then I would consider talking to your doctor.

about a year.

ok well, it definitely should have come back by now. It may be more serious. You should probably talk to a doctor about it.

Go see a doctor.

And make sure you eat balanced diets, and LOTS of Iron.

I've struggled with  eating problems since I was 11 (I'm 19 now). When I was 12 I stopped having my period for about six months. Your period should come back once you reach a proper weight (in a healthy BMI range).

Maybe you don't get enough nutrition for your period..?
I think I've heard that somewhere, like it gets so serious your period stops.

Go to a doctor though, and maybe eat more iron.

No, don't listen to me, except for the doctor part.
