Mikoto Posted at 6:04 pm on July 6, 2009 You should be ok with rice, it might catch a bit and be sore, but it shouldn't hurt too much. Eat a little at a time and it'll be fine. I found eating ice cream and cold stuff helps to reduce the swelling quicker, though you should be fine on the third day in regards to being able to talk and stuff, you'll still notice it being swollen though. filthh Posted at 6:03 pm on July 6, 2009 i couldn't eat solid food for a week or so. i would stick to soup or yogurt or something. everyone's different with the swelling. mine took forever to heal. my friend's took like, two days to stop swelling. All 3 previous replies displayed.
