growing basil, thyme and sage in little mini plant pots in my apartment.the thyme is so thin and getting tall, its falling down over itself.i know most plants are thigmotropistic, but im not quite sure how to build a mini yet cool looking object to put in the planter to help it stand up...any suggestions?

Try using bamboo and ribbon. Be careful for cotton as it cuts into the plants ... Old panty hose or stockings work well also.

Try Bamboo, chopsticks or  just a tiny littler cylindrical fence that people use to raise their tomatoes.
