get born anywhere in Africa and you are an African
anywhere in Europe you are European
anywhere in Asia you are Asian
Australia, Australian
if you ever are born in Antarctica you could probably call yourself Antarctican

but residing in North or South America doesn't give you that privileged.

thats some funny continental shit

But listen its imperialistic to call them Americans.

It donates to the ideal of the United States controlling America.

well Tasmania is part of Australia but if you were born there you would be Tasmanian.

 im referring to continents
 tasmania not being one

new zealand isnt a continent either and you wouldn't call them australians but thats besides my point

yeah but New Zealand isn't part of Australia.
I see what you mean, but it can also be translated into my example with Tasmania.
It's a pity though, that South American's aren't considered Americans.

Canadians are not considered Americans either

i don't belong to anything and to quote sir winston churchill:
We have our own dream and our own task.

We are with Europe, but not of it.

We are linked but not combined.

We are interested and associated but not absorbed.

I was born in New York, but both my parents were born in the Dominican Republic.

I don't look American. But I guess I am.
