i have a little bro that is truly autistic, but on a milder note. he is what they call, and what's posted here a LOT, aspergers. Since i grew up with him, i had to deal with the embaressment of living with "that" family, the one with lightining always striking and a big fence with a mean dog, the bad reputation house. He was uncontrollable, he'd break into people's garages so he could play with their kids better toys, he was just an annoying turd as a kid. he refused eye contact, or would look the other way or right about yous so hes lookin at your eyebrow. He went through all sorts of training, social skills classes, getting into fights, teaching him to throw a football, al sorts. now, he is as close to acting his age as he ever would be. the only thing is he still obsesses on things, this time it's computers. he researches all sorts of programs and different ways to mod his computer, even using a regular fan to blow cool air in the desktop!! He's made fun of alot but i believe i've toughened him up, i just hope he learns how to make friends with other guys his age. he has aspergers. anyone still want to talk about it now?

People with Aspeger's don't need "toughening up".

explain that to my asshole dad, who thinks being an annoying asshole to my brother will help him.

sounds like yours turned out a lot better than mine
my older brother was diagnosed multiple times with multiple different problems including aspergers at one point. they've finally settled it at "on the autism spectrum."
i know exactly what you mean about having to live at "that" house. my whole family is nuts and as my hometown is pretty small and tight-knit everyone knows.
all i have to say is lucky you for having parents who let you beat the shit out of him once in a while. i swear to god my brother would have turned out better if my dad had taken a belt to him at least once.
