if you're the only person thinking she is maybe she isnt. why would everyone not see that assuming your mom isnt neglectful or stupid
we should wait until he asks his mom before we pass judgement
im not passing judgment, i'm just pointing out lack of qualification or is it more supportive for me to say 'yes your sister could be autistic' his parents seem like they would be better informed about this. wouldn't they know?
I'm a girl. My mum and dad both think she is, they will just do fuck all about it. |

just bring it up to your mom and if your mom hates ur dad why dont the divorce? if they are divorces if she hates you why dont u move in whith ur dad ?
They are divorced... that isn't the problem, I still talk to my dad even though I don;t live with him, again, I can't live with him but THAT isn't the issue!!!!!! I can't talk to my mum, don't you get it?
I understand talk to one of her teachers or an adult who will bring it up to the right person |

Sounds like it could be high functioning Autism or Aspergers, but she needs to be seen by a specialist. How old was she when she started speaking? Does she have truble making eye contact? Sounds like you got some serious family issues that need to be resolved. It seems like your Mum has been around Autistic people for a long long time, and as talented and special they can be, they can also be difficult and EXTREMELY hard to relate to. Perhaps that is something she doesn't want to see in her own daughter. Now this might sound a tad bit strange, but if she is left undiagnosed it might be better for her in the long run. Alot of people with Autism and Aspergers Syndrome are left undiagnosed and they form their own niche in life and have very furfulling lives. Treatment for Autism, I believe, should only be necessary in extreme cases. If your sister seems to be really missing out and your mum continues to be stubborn, then I would suggest you get your dad to take action, and if he is unwilling, get a social worker involved. That last option should only be if ALL ELSE fails. Good luck :-)
Finally! A good nice answer! |

| She isn't autistic, but she may have Aspergers, which is a bit similar but more social. She may just have a social phobia. I have social phobia and am quite intelligent and also draw well like your sister. I also care too much about what people think which results in panic attacks if I do something different that might result in someone thinking differently or badly of me. She sounds like me to be honest. Medicine and therapy do help. If you have any questions you can ask me if you would like too. |

| I don't think she is autistic especially is she is obsessed with TV shows and enjoys drawing. Autistic kids tend not to be as creative, and take things literally. But ask your mum to take her to a doctor. She sounds a bit like my sister though who is just a bit introverted, and lacks sekf confidence. |

| Yeah, there could be a possibility of them having Asperger maybe but I think a psychologist would be able to determined that better than us though. And, encase people don't know this already Not everyone that goes to a psychologist is considered to insane. |

Have you considered the possibility of talking to your mom about it ?
my mum won't help because she has a disorder that I will know about when I'm older, she wants to keep my sister close to her like a baby but wants me to be away and grown up because I remind her of my dad, who she hates, and thinks I am him basically...
