Just try and explain it to her, and at least she is showing that she likes you, its better than her full on ignorning her. And you have to let her make her own mistakes, and seriously what bad can going to a pool do for someone?

It does sound like you love her. But perhaps some time apart, from your relationship would be better for the both of you. She's obviously wearing you out, and some time apart would give you two time to think about your relationship and where you two stand. You don't have to break up with her, just simply take a break from her. Hang out with other people. Then after a while you'll see whether you still think she's worth going back to, or maybe you'll find someone who fits you better. There's always going to be plenty of other girls out there. You just have to look for them. Sounds to me like you need someone who isn't quite so clingy, and understands and respects you. But anyways, this break will let you see where things stand in your relationship and also give you a chance to explore more possibilities. Then if by the end of the break you realize that your girlfriend is the onliest one you want, then you can stay with her. If not, then move on. Good luck.

I agree with Ken01. It's a public pool we're talking about, right? I mean, there's always the miniscule chance that there's a crazy serial rapist lurking in the shadows waiting for innocent girls to walk by... but odds are nothing will happen at all. Calm down and let your girlfriend live her life, and when you get back from your visit with your dad, sit down and have a serious conversation with her. Explain how you're feeling and why, and if she values you at all, she'll listen and things will get worked out.

She sounds selfish and you do seem overprotective. Trust me friend, the world isn't that bad of a place. Yes she might be hit on, but thats where her faithfulness comes in. Its better to have a lover you can trust to be alone than one you have to watch to make sure nothing ever happens. Personally though, end it. Use this week away to call it and think things over.
