So I want to be a Computer Repair Technician.

Where do I start?

Can I get the required education at a community college?

Do I need to be taking math classes for Computer Repair?

Are there alot of jobs out there for Computer Repair Technicians?

Thanks!

Start with your

Comptia A+ certification

Help desk (answering phones) will most likely be the first step for you.

Do what I did?

I started my own business.

Assuming you have the technical knowhow. I would recommend getting at least the basic certifications.

Don't become the stupid ones on the phone

No I don't want to be Tech Support. I want to go around businesses managing computers, keeping them running, repair, hardware/software installation etc.

There's less and less of those.

You can start out at a community college to get general courses, but to really move up in the field, you will need serious education.

As time goes on, so does the difficulty of the competition when trying to get a job.
