I used to, but whenever I put it in, the screen goes black. The computer doens't turn off, everythings still on, but the screen is dark. HOW CAN I FIX IT!? It's not the charger, because we had to get a new one, it's the computer...

Replies anonomouse Posted at 11:26 pm on July 1, 2009 Does the screen turn black or just dim? If it just dims, look for a setting in the Function (F1-F12) keys on the keyboard. There should be little cryptic icons there (or on other keys) that are the same color as the Fn key. Hold the Fn key then press one of those buttons (maybe a sun? to make the screen brighter?) a few times. mtguy8787 Posted at 9:53 pm on June 26, 2009 Thats an issue with the settings. Go into the settings for power options, and change the hibernation settings for battery/plugged in.
