The hard disk is full of Linux files and a Linux OS. I got a casing for the internal drive to make it external. My computer (64 bit Vista) recognizes it, but I can't format it or write to it. I get an error reading: "Cannot format disk, media write protected". Any ideas?

I know Vista is a joke, I get a free upgrade to Windows 7 in October though.
