| What a match. The longest Grand Slam Final in history. Roddick played the best match of his life. Federer has won 15 grand slams now. Federer holds the record for the most number of grand slams won now in the history of tennis! Great match, great playing by both of them. Roger see you at the US OPEN! and Roddick too! |

I really wanted Andy Roddick to win, I feel bad for him. I hope he wins someday, he deserves it. It's questionable where Federers mind will be next year because of his wife having their first child, so it could leave an opening for other players.
I hope he takes a long sabbatical. On that point, I hope Venus and Serena do as well. I don't like them, either. What's the point of anyone else even entering! |

His win needs a qualifier. Nadal wasn't playing so we don't know if Federer could have beat him. i think he wouldn't have.
It'd be a close one, seeing as both have beaten each other in the finals already. I'd give Federer the edge though, he really is the master of the grass court. |

| I can't stand Federer, and really like Andy Roddick, so I'm gutted. It's a shame that Nadal was injured, but I don't think the competition missed him at all to be honest. It was a brilliant final, as exciting as last year's! |

| I have to admit, I felt really sorry for Andy Roddick. He put his heart and soul into that match and still came out in second. |
