So I tried pot for the first time the other day, just me and my boyfriend hanging out.  We smoked some out of a pipe, but I didn't actually take a direct hit.  My preferred method for new drugs (or stuff that you have to burn hot) is to let him inhale it for me, then exhale into my mouth.

I took only three hits this way and got really fucked up.  At first the effects were about on par with plain leaf salvia--giggle fits and body highs.  When I calmed myself down, probably a half hour later, time seemed to be dilated.  Moving took an incredible amount of time and concentration, and sentences were really hard to form.  I was feeling everything a few seconds behind reality from about 10:30 until I woke up at 6 and 7 in the morning.

My boyfriend, who smoked more than I did, and took each hit directly, didn't get nearly as high as I did.  Is this normal, even for a first-timer?

Just wondering what the community thinks about it.

Completely different to me. My first time I felt almost nothing. Now, 18 months later I have really low tolerance.
I guess it just depends on the person...

and it took me months to get past that stage LOL

Okay that makes me feel better.
I guess I've just gotta do a bit more to build up a tolerance.  Not that it was a problem or anything, but I think I would enjoy it more if I could stay in the same pocket of time as everyone else.  :p

I know people like that.

I am like that sometimes which is why I don't smoke pot.  I don't smoke pot because sometimes it will get me so high I get sick.  That is the reason I prefer painkillers to pot.

It happened to me the first time I got high. It was random crap weed that my friend had lying around. I got completely baked from it, while everyone else who smoked it was hardly affected.

I felt this way when I smoked alot of weed in a room with no vents or fresh air.

But I did not feel this way my first time smoking.

that is very normal for a first time, you get ultra high

your boyfriend on the other hand probably has a tolerance to it

it takes time... some people have smoked so much that they dont get as high as they used too
but that's what I feel like when im high

That's pretty much normal the first few times a weed "virgin" smokes they get high as hell, with me it was almost like a mushroom trip type of feeling, but once you get used to it its not that spectacular.

Edit it should be noted the first time I smoked it was really good stuff not the middle ground stuff around now.

Maybe you're just a lightweight?

And just to let you all know, telling her not to do pot is not helping.
