When im on the pill i still wont have sex without a condom, firstly because im uber paranoid about getting pregnant and want to be completely safe like you are, lots of thing can interfere with the pill, like other medications, or just forgetting to take it one day. And besides that the pill doesn't protect against S.T.I.'s and while im sure you completely trust your boyfriend so do the majority of people who end up getting infections. Spermicide gel is 71% effective if used alone. Condoms are 97% effective when used alone. Combining a pill and a condom ups the prevention to 99.7% effectiveness when both are used absolutely correctly. As a couple, you need to come to a decision. If he doesn't like wearing a condom, then the spermicial film is a good way to go. Either way, no matter what you do, there will always be a chance of pregnancy. With my boyfriend, I actually asked if we could stop using a condom cause it hurt me. We now go unprotective, without bc or anything. But we'd be happy with a baby.
