Who in their wrong mind would create a group called that?
And what kind of losers would actually join?

When people do things like this it just irritates me.
Sex is good and all that jazz, but why must people flaunt how much they love it?

Dude, just let people be. We get it, you don't like it, but just let them be. If they want to join a group like that then that's fine, I'm not in it but I'm not going to judge those who are.

No. I merely answered his question.
If he can't word his question correctly that is not my problem.

so you're playing sphinx or something? there is a series of questions leading up to something here, dude. the word "trashy" was brought up by you as justification for disliking people being public about their sex lives. he asked why that would be wrong (that, as in, "trashy", with the working definition being whatever reason you invoked it in the first place, namely, openness about sex lives) and you played semantics to weasel out of that one.

sad thing is i'm on your side, i think sex is a private matter, but your thought process is too horrible to side with you.

You didn't say talking about it.
You asked what was wrong with BEING trashy.

you implied that they qualified as trashy for freely discussing (or wishing to freely discuss) their sex lives, so apparently discussing it was enough for you to give them the std package deal

No. I merely answered his question.

You didn't answer my question at all...
You said talking about sex is trashy, I asked why is either, specifically talking about sex, a bad thing. And you said it increases risk of STD's. And you haven't really clarified, so please, try again.

Try again? I think not.
I gave you my answer to what's wrong with BEING trashy.
Sorry, but I'm not here to continuously explain my opinions or beliefs to you.

Why would I give insight into my opinion and beliefs to you?
i've no idea, sincerely, but i would at minimum expect the scrutiny if i were to open a topic for discussion in an online forum. seems pretty reasonable.

I don't need to because as it seems, we are different.
we could be the same and you still wouldn't need to. you don't need to do anything. all people-based actions are optional.

I'm not going to tell you you're wrong because that's not my place, and I didn't make this topic to be proven right or wrong.
why isn't it your place? aren't you smart enough to make conclusions about reality and stand by them? and sometimes you make parties and you don't expect people to dance, but yet, they start dancing. what you intend or don't intend only matters as far as your actions go.

That would be pointless. In the end we are both right and wrong.
meaningless tautology. if both sides have elements of right and wrong on their side, you can untangle the mess, figure out which parts are right and which parts are wrong, and then we can both be simply right. don't get why you'd assume we're irreparably stuck in moral greyness.

If any of you paid attention this has no point, it's about my opinion.
our point is that you have the right to have an opinion, any opinion you want, no matter how stupid. this is your holy, sacred right.

however, it is pretty sad that you choose to exercise it by adhering to positions without giving them any thought whatsoever, and somehow take pride in this, apparently. that you use as a banner that your opinions, something so personal and defining, so telling about your character and going-ons of your mind, you choose it without any criteria you're willing to share at all.

Yes, you can say whatever you like, no matter how wrong you are.
What is wrong with trashy? Give some specific examples of what is (not morally, but practically) wrong with being trashy? More specifically talking about sex.
Sure there is, we can all say you're an idiot, lol.

If it's an opinion it can't be wrong.
People that are trashy will more than likely end up with STD's, end up pregnant and in those cases the child will suffer. Get the picture?

Not necessarily, many people hold opinions over truths. For example I could hold an opinion on whether or not gravity exists, regardless of my opinion there is an answer to that question. Even though 'is talking about sex bad' is not one of those questions.
Talking about sex results in high chance of STD's?

You didn't say talking about it.

Well, people flaunt that they love other things (tv shows, movies, books, sports, etc)... for some people, admitting they love sex isn't any different.

I mean, with our society, sex is typically viewed as something more private... but that doesn't mean that everyone views it as such.  And some people may just join ~because~ of the name.

Sex should be private, and to those who think it's not are just looking for attention.
As is that group and anyone who belongs.

For what reason "should" sex be private?  It's merely how our society has come to view the concept of sex.  There's no 'should', it's a matter of opinion.

For those who think it's not... they may not hold the same views that our society has typically brought us up to believe.  Is that really attention seeking?  Of course, some may be doing it for that purpose, but to place everyone in one group rarely ever works accurately.
