| do aerobic exercise (running, biking, swimming- if you're slightly overweight, work your way up by doing intervals of moderately fast walking and then jogging, jump-roping, etc.) and try some basic toning moves that you don't need weight for. or get one of those stretchy bands that acts like dumbbells but uses your body weight. |

My question was more specific. What can I do to excercise? I don't have access to a weight room anymore, and I don't life enough heavy things at my jobs for example...
oh. well, you could start running. some work out videos are good. i'd say cardio is more important than weights if you want to lose 20+ lbs. you could just buy some dumbbells. 
I went to my local wall mart and they did not have a high enough wieght.
what weight did they have? you could just do more of them. that's better than nothing. or start out with cardio first and order weights online? 
I was benching about 200 and with dumbells I was 45-60. Walmart only had up to 30. Doing an easy wieght alot of times doesn't do anything.
if you've got fat there it will look like it's doing nothing. but it is. |

| lifting weights increases your basal metabolic rate, so you burn more fat when not exercising. cardio burns fat and muscle. you may notice you lose a lot of weight but perhaps not as much of that being fat than if you do weight lifting. get dumbbells. |
