He is a result of his parents decision on where to live - the teachers that taught him - the college he went to - his wife and children - and much, much more.

You can be GRATEFUL to all the ppl who helped you make who you are.

But it has nothing to do with being proud. You can be proud of what you DID with what you were given,

Two brothers living in the same area, raised by the same parents, from the same genetic pool, with the same education even etc... can have TOTALLY different accomplishments. One can end up successful and do great things. The other can end up a thug.

The one who succeeded can be proud of what he did with what he was given.

I admit this thread was made as more of a joke to see how many "omgzz you is racistt" replies I would get. But now I think about it, I am proud to be white. If black people can be proud to be black and proud to have a black president, then I can be proud too.

By "other people" do you mean just the people of your own race or is this open to any of humanity?

If I'm proud of white people for their accomplishments then I simply must be equally proud of the accomplishments of non-white people.

To single out white people is as ridiculous as singling out left-handed people to be proud of. There is no homogenous white culture, there never has been.
