I've got this package I want to return to a retailer, and I was wondering if it's possible to write "Return To Sender" on the box if it's left unopened.

Second questions is; would I or the retailer be charged for shipping it back?

Thanks!

You probably can, it'd be the same as refusing the package.

Take it to a FedEx center, leaving it unopened, and tell them you want it sent back.

It depends on if you wrote your address on it.
My dad tried this when he was young: he wrote the address of his friend at the place where you write the return address, and did not write any address for it to be sent to. He did not paste a stamp either.

So the letter was sent to the "address sender", which is his friend, and his friend had to pay for it because there wasn't any stamp on it.

Do you have any idea on whether or not me or the buisness would be charged for "Return To Sender" (shipping it back to them)?

I would just lie and say that it's the business's policy to pay that fee.

That way when they return it, if it's not their policy, it's certainly their problem.

Although technically if you filled out that little FedEx thing that has you pay fed ex and tell fed ex what kind of shipping to use etc, it's likely that they are going to want you to pay that fee.

I did the same thing when I was in Marine Corps bootcamp because the only way I could communicate with family and friends was writing letters and I sure as shit was not going to pay for stamps.
