Days that I take adderall before work are days i'm considered for a raise.

I really wish I could try this stuff.

Alrighty. I read a complete chapter in "Lie Groups, Lie Algebras, and Some of Their Applications." I felt completely sucked into the material, and completely interested in a subject most people would find repulsively boring. My brain feels drained, though, so I stopped at one chapter (around 30 pages, which is alot for mathematics.) I have focused in on math with caffeine as an aid before, but this was far superior, as I was not distracted, could keep what I learned in my head, and relate completely abstract objects in my head. I plan on trying this again! I will likely use coffee the next few times, and save the powerful stimulants for the harder chapters. Fun summer reading haha.

Today, I will test the Lie Algebra book with a small dose of Oxycodone. It will be interesting to see if my comprehension of the material increases, as it did with the amphetamines, or if it is decreased due to the depressant effects of an opioid.

I've heard ketamine at recreational doses can be great for abstract math.

Interesting. I have no experience with dissociatives, but if anyone does, and is a nerd like myself, feel free to discuss the benefits, if any, from them with abstract concepts.

Update time: After ingesting around 5mg of OxyContin (insufflated from a larger dose, so the number has some room for error), I found the mathematics in the book to be very interesting, but I was too spaced out to visualize the "big picture." I felt as though I needed to understand every line of every theorem to move on, and that skipping material was a bad idea. At no time did I feel anxious, though; just slightly frustrated. I put the book down after 4 pages. I will investigate it tomorrow after some hot coffee! Fun experiment, though. What should I try next for my experiment? Give me ideas- I don't do psychedelics or dissociatives to give you a heads up :-) I should write a short story on the subject after having a good number of experiments under my belt haha.

I really think you should try ketamine. The way my brain works on ketamine--I can just imagine the things it would do for a mathematician. I can't think in terms of individiuals or units--the concept of ego is dissolved. I can only think in abstractions, extrapolations, observations regarding types of situations, their universaility along several differentes axis, you can see the gears of the universe moving, metaphorically. Your brain is minimalistic and streamlined, yet infinitely and infinitesimally detailed. And it's a forty five minute high, snorted.

Sounds worth investigating, at least. Would you suggest a minimal dose. When I did the Adderall experiment, I only used 5mg.

Well, generally it comes in a small vial of liquid for injection as an anesthetic, you pour that onto a ceramic dish and then evaporate the water and are left with a white powder that you need to scrape off. A minimal dose would be a couple of key-bumps per nostril. Higher doses can be small lines for railing, as the effect does intensify.
