If we have an unloved topic (one with zero replies) than, after say, 2 hours or so, we should be given the option to request that it be re-posted, meaning it would show up in Fresh Topics again.

It would have to be approved by a moderator, so spam topics wouldn't be allowed.

Idk, it's just an idea that popped in my head.

Vote?

Oh, lol. I didn't even know that. That's basically my idea, already in action.

Yeah except the topic has to be trashed first.

But generally we only really use it if a topic that was previously trashed is then reinstated (for example after a MER discussion) so that the members can get replies to it.

We don't really use it in the sense that the OP is aiming towards, and personally I wouldn't be against doing so, though perhaps give it more time than two hours.

I would not be against it either. I am not sure who decided that the fresh topics feature was such a fragile and unusable thing, but I dont know why we dont use it better.

It wouldn't be fair for some topics to get freshend and not others, it would have to be all (including ones who have only got spam unhelpful replies) to be freshened, which wouldn't be easy to freshen them all / decide which ones.
