False. The main contribution to bulimia nervosa is the fact that binge eating is involved. Just because someone throws up with the intent of losing weight doesn't necessarily make them bulimic. It takes a lot more than forcefully pushing yourself to puke to be called bulimic (in a sense.) The individual has several binging and purging "episodes" with the intent to lose weight.
