Ok, so.. I'll start by saying that i was BORN AND RAISED here in BRITAIN.. i am 18 years old now, and i don't even have my national insurance number.. i don't think they sent me it when i turned 16..

so, does anyone know how i should go about getting it?

I'm quite panicy atm cause i'm worried i'm gonna get like kicked out of the country or arrested or something for not having one?   i mean i was born here, i can still live here forever right even if it means picking up a brand new NI number?

I'm not sure if this applies to the British like it does to Americans, but hey it's worth a shot. :) I know that my parents had "disposed" of some important things of mine ( yay for getting rid of my birth certificate and SS number.) As long as you have some sort of proof (birth certificate, mail/something showing long-term residency [maybe parent's ceritificates as well]) you should be able to request it from say an government official.

I really doubt that they'll kick you out without you being able to rightfully prove your existence and being born in that country. One thing that people tend to do is to try and contact the hospital which they were born in and getting some records from there. Also, you go to school right? That should vouch for something. Just try going/calling somewhere and talking to them. They're somewhat on ease about these things and understand mishaps happen. A new NI number is doubtful, you've got to be registered somewhere in someones books. :)
