I have no snappy comeback for you today, oh great Master of Poop.

There is no logical or practical reason for me to send the Tempo to the mechanic. But I will continue to do so. I trust my mechanic, he's a good guy. Expensive, but I at least know he does the work as good or better then Ford did back in early 1989 when they assembled the car.

Blah blah blah. It doesn't matter to me. To me, the fact its fake is just a testimony of an era gone by. A time capsule, if you will. The 1980s were an interesting time in our nation's history, as well as the automobile history. There was so much right about the Tempo, but so much wrong. I think that's what gives it character, and character is what appeals to me.

I need to put my stock head unit back in, and get some legit shocks and springs. Stock stuff. Hell, I've still got the original floor mats (front and rear, they were optional in 1989) from two fucking decades ago.

Gotta realize that none of that appeals to us about the Tempo.

and the 80s were pretty horrible for cars.

No, you're wrong. There were quirky 80's cars like that. For instance, my datsun, or any datsun. There's an acc position in the ignition that never worked and was never wired. The interior lights and brakelights don't come on for like 8 seconds after you turn on the headlights, and they never did. Inexplicably, the truck got an inch wider in 1984 and nobody can figure out why.

The tempo was just mediocre in all aspects. There weren't enough quirks, there were too many faults in the place of quirks (such as sporadic fires). It was just cheap 80's recession recovery econocrap. The 80's in domestic vehicles were just manufacturers trying to recoup from failing through the gas crisis.

In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed.

You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.
