my wireless mouse runs through an insane amount of batteries!! But I never use it because AAA batteries are more expensive to buy! I only really use it when I'm studying, because it makes it easier to correct essays and assignments for some reason! =]

How are they any better?

I guess you don't have wires?  You can be a distance away from the screen?  A little less wire tangling?

Say your bed is away from your computer.  You can lay on your bed and still use the computer.  Assuming your screen is big enough and you are a distance away while still being able to see details on the screen.

I don't like them, I use wired.

If you want wireless:  Bluetooth wireless would be less prone to interference, most use RF.  Lots of other wireless technologies use RF, could be on same frequency of keyboard.

i know that i just wondered if there was other things about them that might make them better

being further away from the screen wouldn't help me with my eye sight

Example of proper answer: Cheap ones are more prone to interference and bad battery life.
