I just like the way it looks.
See, I need to know these things, because that is a stupid reason to buy a car.
Ok, I wouldn't go with the Chevy because it's over 15 years old and parts will be more expensive and hard to find. Take a look at the engine in the other cars. I would normally say go with the car that has the fewest miles but you can't go solely on that. Have someone you know look at the engine and see which one is in the best shape. That's what I did for my first car. I had a few selections and went with the car that has the least amount of motor damage. Which meant I would spend less in repairs.
Being old has nothing to do with part prices. Parts for the Camaro will be expensive because its a Camaro, not because its 15-years-old. My Cavalier is 17-years-old, parts are still easy to find, and dirt cheap.
I assumed it would be a supply and demand kinda thing.

Well it all depends on the car. Camaros werent as popular as, say Ford Tempos, or Chevy Cavaliers, and they were mainly bought to build up. So parts are gonna be hard to find because people don't junk those as easy as economy cars. Whereas Tempos and Escorts, and Cavalier were a dime-a-dozen, they're everywhere, so parts are still easy to find and cheap.

Volvo, no. Parts are incredibly expensive. Focus, maybe. I haven't heard much bad about reliability, and they're very solid machines. Probably because they weren't designed by Americans, who, at that time were more interested in making the cheapest iterations of Camry/Accord rip-offs to churn a profit. Grand Am, stay the fuck away. From everything made by GM during that time period (late 1990s, early 2000s). Unless of course you're like Eric (aka. 3800 FTW) and think transmission rebuilds are nothing serious. Well, it only costs $2,000-$4,000+ I know personally how bad these things are, as do most unbiased GM enthusiasts. Escort, hell no. That price is about double what the damned thing is actually worth, and even then its outdone by the Focus in nearly every aspect. Camaro and Mustang, no. Unless you like a rough truck-like ride saddled to an impractical body, powered by an inefficient and gas-guzzling engine. Did I mention insurance rates are up the ass for two doors? Reliability is probably okay given the simple drivetrains, but at what cost? A bad back and a car that focuses more on base line performance figures over practicality, safety, and of course; handling. Remember kids, it doesn't have to be loud and have eight cylinders to be fun to drive. I'd also recommend: Ford Crown Victoria Subaru Legacy However, if you buy the Subaru you are not buying American, you are buying Japanese. And lets not forget about Pearl Harbor.

'93 Chevy Camero, 113K miles, $3,995 - Avoid, high mileage, not the most reliable cars either. '01 Mustang, 125K miles, $5,795 - Avoid, high mileage, more reliable than the Camaro but not worth the price. '01 Pontiac Grand Am, 91K miles, $4,950 - Avoid, they are pretty well known to be unreliable. '01 Ford Focus, 117K miles, $3,990 - Not a bad choice. I just don't like them. '02 Ford Escort, 77K, $5,990 - Not a bad car, my friend has one, his has lasted him quite well only a few minor problems but that's about it. As long as it isn't the ZX2 you are in the clear. '00 Volvo S40, 91K miles, $4,600 - Best choice out of all of those in my opinion. You can probably haggle them down a few hundred. Any reason why you only chose American cars?

Chevy parts will actually be extremely cheap, especially being a Camaro.
