It's healthcare, should be given to everyone.

Healthcare is a right, not a privelege.
Explain why it's a "right", please.
"to provide for the general welfare"...

Every free citizen has the right to good healthcare because good health is a neccesity to live a long life. To deny people healthcare because they can't afford insurance is like telling someone they're a second-class citizen. We all have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It's hard to live without healthcare, and it's hard to be happy when always sick and you can't see a doctor.
So you're saying that you support slavery, is that correct? If everyone has a right to a service (health care or otherwise) regardless of finances, then someone must be forced to provide that service regardless of that provider's individual financial concerns. Take plumbing for instance. I am thankful to live in a home with excellent plumbing, and it is a convenience that most Americans (me included) don't have to give much thought about. However, most of us (especially city dwellers) would be unable to function without proper plumbing in our homes. But do we have a RIGHT to plumbing services in our homes when things go wrong? What about heating or air conditioning for people who live in very cold or hot climates? Where does it end? People who say that anyone has a right to health care (or any other service) are actually in favor of slavery. You want to enslave the health care providers, demanding that they provide their services at whatever price you (or the government) dictate, and you want to enslave all other productive "free citizens" by demanding that they turn over the fruits of their labor to pay for bills that YOU incurred. That doesn't sound like a free society to me. Edit: Just realized that the post to which I replied is almost two months old, but my point is still applicable to any argument that there is a "right" to health care.
