I want to go on a date with this girl who's a recent friend of mine, but I don't want to be rushing in too quickly. I think I've scared off girls before by moving in too fast. This case is different because she and I have hung out a lot before (she used to have a b/f) in a friendly context, but still, I don't want to take any chances. I want to spend time with her without putting pressure on her. So should I try to get my friends to do something, then invite her along?
