"Honestly, I picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. I didn't write it and ... I didn't expect it to be popular, originally. It was just something that I wanted to do, and I needed some songs and it turned out for the best."

OBVIOUSLY, but jesus... to openly admit that she had NO idea what the song meant or where it's inspiration came from, and that she just did it for the business aspect of it is what bothers me.

Well, yeah, I mean I understand that. It's still just that she was so open and cavalier about how it was just business, not "Oh I loved the song, I loved the lyrics, I was so inspired by it..." She didn't even bullshit some of that. How did no one think to be like, "Hey Miley if anyone asks, "such and such" is your favorite Jay-Z song."
