I know they will be considered black but they will be mixed and no I would never treat my kid mean because it is darker, but I just doubt that they would be darker than me because my husband would be white and I am lighter skinned you know..

Many kids from light-skin parents end up being darker than BOTH their parents or taking after their grandparents because skin shade is not completeley correlated to genes. Skin shade is a phenotype (how the genes are expressed) and this depends on the environment and the particular way the genes will be mixed for your kids.

In fact the more kids you have the more likely you will be to have kids that could be darker.

Think of it this way: inside you there are many marbles which are black and white (maybe because somewhere you might have had white ancestors).

The way the marbles mixed for YOU made it that you LOOK lighter. But for your siblings the SAME marble combo made it that they LOOK darker than you.

No one had control over that not even your parents. Its random.

Now if your hubby is white he might have all white marbles and sure the chances for your kid to be really dark will be low.

But your kids will still have some random mix of white and black marbles and that mix might still end up with a kid that is darker than you.

And the more you have kids the moe variety of mixes you will get so the more you could have kids that coul be darker.

For some people it is I mean i know tons of ppl who are not super light and are beautiful like my mommy :) but shes not like super black shes like a 2 shades darker than me but I want mixed kids
