I personally don't like talking about my beliefs on certain things with my parents, so my mum some how got started on religion, and I mentioned that maybe some people just don't care about faith and shit, which is how I am right now, I just don't care. I don't hate it or have an opinion on whether or not God exists, and I'm not atheist, I just don't care. But my mum said that a person couldn't go through life without believing in something. What do you think?

For me, I think it has to do a little bit with the fact that I had religion shoved down my throat since age 4 that I've become numb to it and just don't give a second glance to it.

I would have to agree with your mother on the point that a person can't go through life without believing in something, or rather, they can, but it makes life much more difficult to cope with, at least in my experience. I currently don't believe in any faith, and I found myself a much happier person when I could convince myself of the existence of  a demiurge. Anyway, yeah, it sucks when people try to force you into a religion.
