He started out by compromising with the Republicans and tossed the single payer system right under the bus. Now what does he have to show for it? Nothing. Health care reform likely won't be passed until next year, and even then, it probably won't include a public option, meaning it will be nothing more than a profit protection act for the insurance companies. He absolutely squandered his first year in office. Fail. And as for the wars, it's just about a guarantee at this point that he's going to send more troops to Afghanistan. He should be pulling all troops out of Afghanistan. Again, fail.

FDR pretty much fixed the depression. before you even say it, there was no natural market cycle to fix that one like there will be for this one. and while WWII was largely acountable for the final recovery, it wouldn't have happened without things like the CCC to create jobs.

I love how you are trying to blame him for everything, yea we HAVE to send more troops to afghanistan because that idiot of a president we had before bombed the wrong country (iraq). Afghanistan is one of the most deadliest place in the world and a serious threat to a america, I have family members in the war over there and is not getting better. And as for healthcare, i think people are just getting impatient and wanted QUICK results and its just not going to happen that fast ESPECIALLY when we are in a recession and so many people don't even have insurance and losing their jobs. And he did not wasted 11 months, why the hell would he take on simplier issues, we are in a FUCKING WAR and he isn't doing GREAT, but who would be? He just got handed the worst job in america and that is to be president at this time in america, i feel like mccain would have been a MUCH worse president and sarah palin is a fucking JOKE, so im satisfied obama is in office

However, he got Matthew Shepard passed. he's not amazing and could have done better, by a long shot, but he's awful.
