I think of the horrors of WWII, or the horrors that humanity itself allows.

when that happens to me, i journal about how my life used to be. and then that makes me think of what i could have been and how i feel about who i am and what i'm becoming. introspection is the key.

I wait. I wait till inspiration finds me. You can't force yourself to write well. Great work isn't made that way.

I've been trying to write something for almost a week now. It's irritating. I've tried looking at prompts and random words to spark something, but nothing's happening. Music is out. Think quotes'll help? :/ What helps you when you're feeling inspirationally drained?
Writer's block: big enemy and happens to everyone. The best thing is to go and do something physical. Like chopping logs, that really helps. Alternatively, try a 5 minute, timed writing exercise. Set up your watch and write non-stop on any subject without stopping to make grammatical or spelling corrections. For exactly 5 minutes, no more. Like for example, Foof That I love. Doing this helps fire your imagination. Date your scribble and file it away. Every day, do a 5 minute writing exercise. My Open University tutor suggested this and it really does help.
------- If you believe in yourself good things, then go do it.
