are there any internet tv providers. i have a laptop that i have in my room, and i have a remote for it, i was wondering if there are any services that give you tv through the internet

no im not looking for it to be free, im actually willing to pay

There are lots of streams, but most are not quality.

Boxee is a program that streams a lot of things. Trying it out right now.

Or there is getting a USB TV-tuner and watching actual TV on it. To watch actual TV you need one of these.

As far as paid internet TV service goes,  the closest is probably Netflix through their web streaming service.

Edit:  Just tried out Boxee, it puts all most of the major streaming sources in one easy place.  Hulu, Youtube, Comedy Central, CBS, WB, and many others.  Nice interface for it, but still needs work (it is in alpha stage if I remember correctly).  Don't expect it to work flawlessly but would be great for a video watching PC (like media center PCs).
