I call your movement the Anti-Choice movement because, frankly, calling it Pro-Life is just plain hypocritical. Killing doctors is a bit hard to justify when you're calling yourself "Pro-Life". In addition, the pivotal issue on abortion is not life. You all keep trying to make it about life and what not, but it never was and never will be about life. It's about class. Control of the working class, to be exact. The fact of the matter is, a rich woman will ALWAYS have access to abortion, whether or not it is legal in the US. It's a means of controlling and oppressing both women and the working class by forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy to term any time she happens to become pregnant. Abortion is more dangerous than not having an abortion? Nah. Carrying a pregnancy to term is 11 times more fatal than having a trained professional perform an abortion. People who have abortions will become manically depressed? Nah. Most people are completely fine. Most of the people who aren't fine are only that way because you anti-choice people hound them and call them murderers, even sending them birthday cards in the mail spattered with blood in some cases. Without the manufactured guilt, the social stigma that's attached to having an abortion would fall by the wayside. Adoption is a viable option? Maybe for some people, but not everybody wants to give birth and then just hand it off to somebody else. Some people want to raise their own kids their own way and don't want other people raising them differently. Plus some people just don't want to know that their baby is out there somewhere and they'll never get a chance to know them. Even if abortion is illegal, it doesn't mean people aren't still going to want them. This means the working class, without the means to go to a different country to get an abortion, will resort to more desperate measures. 70,000 women die every year from trying to do an abortion on their own. 88% of counties in the US have no abortion clinics. That means those people have to either find a way to get to that 12% or risk death doing it on their own. Also, if you want to force women to give birth, why are those women then not given ANY means of support to help them raise that child? They're forced to rear this child that they don't want and are expected to just have all the resources the kid needs? Most people get abortions because they DON'T have the resources to raise a kid. The only reason the right wing wants live babies is so they can be raised to be dead soldiers. PRO-LIFE IS A LIE, YOU DON'T CARE IF WOMEN DIE. No restrictions. No apologies. Fuck you, assholes. ------- And when you're up watching cartoons at like 3 in the morning you're nice and low to the ground with your bean bag chair so when you roll over you can sleep on the floor naked with your bag of cheetos

I was too tired to read all of that so I scrolled down to the 2nd to last sentence written in caps, and I can tell that if I have read everything in your post, I would have strongly agreed with you.

Abortion is not morally permissible. People always throw the "what if this" and "what about that" into the argument. It doesn't change the fact that it is simply wrong.

Actually, many of the people whon are anti-abortion view is as a religious thing. I mean if some dumb slut didn't want to have a baby, DON'T FUCKING GET PREGNANT. Oh, having a normal birth is 11 times more dangerous than having an abortion. DON'T FUCKING GET PREGNANT. "70,000 women die every year from trying to do an abortion on their own" --- DON'T FUCKING GET PREGNANT. "Also, if you want to force women to give birth, why are those women then not given ANY means of support to help them raise that child? It's not a moral issue at all. Your point is moot, sir.
Not a moral issue? The only part of the debate that I am concerned with is, whether or not it is right or wrong. If it is moral. On a practical level, of course abortions are justifiable. It would be stupid to deny that right. I just don't think it's right.

And what about the percentage of girls who're impregnated by a rapist? Is it their fault for getting pregnant? You can't control the possibility of getting pregnant, so stop preaching as if it's capable to accomplish it.
I have no opinion on that. On one hand they were raped, they shouldn't be obligated to anything, on the other, if they are willing to kill their own child I have no sympathy for them or their choice.
