How do you know this entire existence isn't a dream?
That we won't wake up and be aliens in some alternate universe, and that when we wake up, that we'll just forget this entire story?
How do you know our entire existence isn't part of someone else's dream?
Maybe none of us are real.

I love philosophy.

How do you know this entire existence isn't a dream?  
That we won't wake up and be aliens in some alternate universe, and that when we wake up, that we'll just forget this entire story?
How do you know our entire existence isn't part of someone else's dream?
Maybe none of us are real.

The scariest part is that the average person does not remember most of his dreams. What if the creature doesn't remember the dream?

If I were really an alien dreaming to be a human, I would remember alien things in my dream. If I'm an alien about to be born, and have nothing alien to remember, then this reality is still the only reality that exists for me, dream or no.

If this were a fetus' dreamed reality, would we have to assume that somehow all fetus' have unreal memories that they forget?

What if the reason the alien dreams of being a human is because humans exist in the alien world?

It's impossible to tell what makes us do what we desire if we are unreal, but I can't say that any of us have been the other characters in our dreams and we therefore do not know if they could possible have their own thoughts.

I'll follow you're second question with a question. Why do people die in dreams? I'm not sure what you mean about the question after that though, so restructuring the sentence would be greatly appreciated.

Well a dream could be made in sleep, but then again the dream could occur during what we perceive as consciousness. Maybe both dreams and consciousness are actually consciousness and sleep is fake. We don't know when we're really awake, if at all, and that's why we're having this discussion.

I don't think that we can prove if we're real. Wouldn't all of our efforts take place on the same world that does or does not exist? If the world does not exist, then the efforts are futile because they are formed with matter than in non-existent. About God, that's a whole philosophical conversation.
